Serve as choral assistant in the Performing Arts Vocal Division. Instruct and conduct four audition-only graded choirs daily. Manage an active rehearsal/performance schedule, support other Performing Arts activities as needed, occasionally serve as accompanist for soloists, productions, and choirs, instruct courses in Advanced Placement Music Theory, and participate in responsibilities of Pebblebrook High School faculty membership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor of Music degree with a choral/vocal emphasis is required. A Master of Music degree is highly preferred. Strong piano skills are required. Candidates must show a successful record of choral conducting, accompanying, and program management.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This position reports to and works with the Chairman of the Fine Arts Department, the Director of the Performing Arts Magnet Program, and the Principal of Pebblebrook High School. There are four teachers within the Vocal Division who collaborate to offer a broad choral music curriculum including classical solo and choral music, musical theatre, piano laboratory and Advanced Placement Music Theory.

Pebblebrook/CCCEPA is proud of its reputation as one of the leading performing arts secondary schools in the United States. Our graduates consistently go on to pursue performing arts degrees at our nation’s top colleges, universities and conservatories. Students are admitted to the program through a competitive audition process in the areas of vocal music, dance, drama, and technical theatre. Recent accomplishments within the vocal division include a performance at the ACDA Southern Division Conference, Mozart REQUIEM with members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and a performance with the male a cappella ensemble, CANTUS.
