What is THE GMEA: hIGH scHOOl eXPERIENCE?
The GMEA: High School Experience is sponsored by GMEA to encourage eleventh and twelfth grade students who are interested in a career in music education. Students are nominated for the High School Experience by their music teachers. Students who are selected for the group are invited to attend the GMEA In-Service Conference in Athens, Georgia. At the conference, students attend special sessions designed for them led by veteran music educators and students also attend many of the concerts and clinics that are provided through GMEA.
Registered students for this year’s GMEA: High School Experience have received information via email. Check with your music teacher if you believe you are registered but have not received emails about the event.
