GMEA is committed to maintaining public health and safety guidelines at our events held at the Classic Center, which falls under the jurisdiction of Athens-Clarke County. The Classic Center provides proactive mitigation and avoidance protocols as relates to public health, as listed on their website. We encourage you to review their current health and safety information. GMEA events at the Classic Center include In-Service Conference, All-State Band, All-State Chorus, All-State Orchestra, Statewide Elementary Honor Chorus, and Sixth Grade Statewide Honor Chorus.

Are you a high school student interested in auditioning for the GMEA All-State Jazz Ensemble? Talk with your band director for more information. Are you a home-schooled student? Talk with your private teacher.
Directors who wish to register students for GMEA events must be current GMEA/NAfME members. Visit the membership page to join or renew today. The All-State Jazz Ensemble Application can be found in your Opus account. Students must be registered for All-State by the school music teacher except in cases where there is no program in the division in which the student is to be registered. Then the private music teacher and GMEA member who is directly responsible for the instruction of the student on the All-State music must register the student.
