2026 GMEA High School Experience - January 30th
What is THE GMEA: hIGH scHOOl eXPERIENCE?
The GMEA: High School Experience is sponsored by GMEA to encourage eleventh and twelfth grade students who are interested in a career in music education. Students are nominated for the High School Experience by their music teachers. Students who are selected for the group are invited to attend the GMEA In-Service Conference in Athens, Georgia. At the conference, students attend special sessions designed for them led by veteran music educators and students also attend many of the concerts and clinics that are provided through GMEA.

Application - The application is available in Opus under “Applications and Forms”. The deadline to register is October 21, 2025 OR when we reach capacity. We reached capacity nearly two weeks before the deadline last year. Please do not delay getting your students registered!
