2027 GMEA High School Experience - January 29th
What is THE GMEA: hIGH scHOOl eXPERIENCE?
The GMEA: High School Experience is sponsored by GMEA to encourage eleventh and twelfth grade students who are interested in a career in music education. Students are nominated for the High School Experience by their music teachers. Students who are selected for the group are invited to attend the GMEA In-Service Conference in Athens, Georgia. At the conference, students attend special sessions designed for them led by veteran music educators and students also attend many of the concerts and clinics that are provided through GMEA.
INFORMATION
Application - The application will be available in Opus under “Applications and Forms” later in August. The deadline to register is October 20, 2026 OR when we reach capacity. In recent years, capacity has been reached as much as two weeks ahead of the deadline. Please do not delay getting your students registered!
