Music Teachers’ Voices on Professional Development  Experiences and Satisfaction Across Diverse Student  Demographic Profiles

A research team at the Eastman School of Music invites active K–12 music teachers to participate in a study on music teachers' professional development (PD) satisfaction across the United States, particularly for serving students from diverse backgrounds. Led by Zhilin Zhang (doctoral student) and Dr. Sangmi Kang (Associate Professor of Music Education), this study aims to better understand how PD supports teachers in different contexts. The study has been approved by the University’s Institutional Review Board (STUDY00011281).
Participation is voluntary, with no known risks beyond everyday life. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes and can be completed on any device. All responses are de-identified and reported only in aggregate—no individual teacher, school, or district will be identified.
